Xea, Galicia

XEA (Xestión Ética do Abandono) has been helping dogs since 2018.

They assess the dogs in their care and provide both physical and mental rehabilitation to enable dogs to be rehomed and have a fulfilled and loving life.

Xea estimate that 90% of the dogs in their care have been found on the streets.

The shelter can test the reaction of a dog to a cat with a barrier between them, they cannot guarantee their reaction to cats in a home environment.

Xea conduct a general health check with the dogs first arrive at the shelter. This further health check is conducted prior to adoption-
